The Loma Portal Foundation provides vital resources to bridge the gap between the funds Loma Portal Elementary receives from the district and the actual cost of giving our children the best education possible.
Supporting Loma Portal Elementary students and staff
The Loma Portal Foundation spends over $135,000 each year supporting Loma Portal Elementary School, providing the salary for a librarian and STEAM teacher, funding the music, garden, and STEAM programs, and subsidizing experiential learning opportunities as well as supplemental classroom materials. Our goal is always to support the staff in providing our children the best education possible.
We Provide Educational Support
We know that the social and recreational needs of the students and families of Loma Portal are just as important as the educational needs. Our Foundation creates opportunities for families outside of school hours with Family Dinner Nights, Parent Mixers, Movie Nights, and Summer Playdates in addition to our annual events like Monster Bash, Variety Show, Family Fitness Night, and Jog-A-Thon. We are also cognizant of our families that may need a little extra help this year and make sure that money is never a factor for a child to leave our Book Fair with a new book or attend our Monster Bash with their friends or have a yearbook to sign at the end of the year.
