Our kids spend a lot of time together — and that means we do, too.
The Loma Portal Foundation creates opportunities for students and families to connect, build friendships, and feel part of something bigger than the school day. From the first summer playdate to the final days of fourth grade, we bring our community together throughout the year to play, celebrate, volunteer, support one another, and simply spend time together.
Because a strong school community isn’t built only in the classroom. It’s built in all the moments in between.
For the Whole Family
Community at Loma Portal extends well beyond the school day. From summer playdates before the first day of school to Monster Bash, family nights, performances, celebrations, and traditions throughout the year, the Foundation creates opportunities for families to come together, have fun, and make memories along the way.
These shared experiences help turn classmates into friends, introduce families who might not otherwise meet, and make our school feel like a community that belongs to all of us — from the very first days at Loma Portal through fourth grade promotion.
For the Grown-Ups
Our kids aren’t the only ones who make friends at Loma Portal. The Foundation creates plenty of opportunities for grown-ups to connect, too — whether it’s over coffee after drop-off, at a Parent Night Out, through Dads Club, while volunteering together, or dressed up for a night out at our annual Gala.
Some of the best connections happen simply by showing up. Getting involved is a great way to meet other families, find your people, and become part of the community that makes Loma Portal feel like home.
A Community for Everyone
Every child should be able to fully participate in the Loma Portal experience, regardless of a family’s financial circumstances. The Foundation works with school staff to quietly provide support when cost might otherwise prevent a student from taking part.
Whether it’s a book from the Book Fair, a yearbook, admission to Monster Bash, or another school experience, our goal is simple: no child should miss out because their family needs a little extra support.
